Ridge Mechanical, LLC is a growing commercial HVAC and plumbing contractor serving the North Carolina Triad since 1955. We specialize in commercial mechanical construction, HVAC service, plumbing systems, and design-build solutions for healthcare, education, industrial, manufacturing, office, and institutional customers.
 
 We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout North Carolina.

Estimating Responsibilities

·       Review construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
·       Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for (materials required for a complete installation) ductwork, HVAC equipment, piping, controls, insulation, specialties, and associated mechanical systems.
·       Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
·       Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
·       Prepare detailed bid proposals, scope letters, and budget pricing.
·       Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
·       Identify value engineering opportunities and alternate solutions.


Preconstruction Support

·       Participate in design-build and negotiated project pursuits.
·       Collaborate with owners, engineers, architects, and contractors during preconstruction.
·       Determine pre-bid viability and recommend alternatives.
·       Support business development and customer relationship efforts.

Qualifications - Required

·       Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC estimating, mechanical construction, or related industry experience.
·       Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment.
·       Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
·       Experience preparing detailed HVAC takeoffs and cost estimates.
·       Strong analytical and communication skills.
·       Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
